The second location of Sushi Rama, chef-restaurateur Jeff Osaka’s conveyor-belt sushi restaurant, is scheduled to open in early 2017 at Belleview Station in Denver.
The original restaurant opened late last year in RiNo, with more locations planned.
Belleview Station, a development anchored by residential complexes The Den and MileHouse, is currently home to Los Chingones and Backcountry Delicatessen. The Belleview location of Sushi Rama — led by executive chef Jesus Silva — will add to the development’s restaurant lineup, with Corvus Coffee and Ambli set to open as well.
According to Osaka, the forthcoming location of Sushi Rama “is three times larger than the original RiNo location and will have a full bar, as opposed to just our airline carts.” Osaka will continue working with LIVstudio — the architecture and design firm behind Sushi Rama and other local restaurants — to design the restaurants and kitchen layouts.
A third location, near the Anschutz Medical Center Campus, is awaiting leases and permits from the city. Additionally, a Lone Tree location is in the works, at Lincoln Commons on Commons Street. “Lone Tree shares the same center as a couple of Colorado homegrown names, Snooze and Garbanzo,” Osaka said.
